Custom & Semi-Custom Cabinets in Lansing, MI

Your cabinetry is the architectural backbone of your home. It dictates the workflow of your kitchen, the serenity of your morning routine in the bathroom, and the organization of your living spaces.

At O’Leary Interiors, we believe that you shouldn’t have to choose between a beautiful aesthetic and everyday practicality. Whether you are updating a historic home in East Lansing, building a new space in Okemos, or completely remodeling your Mid-Michigan kitchen, we design cabinet solutions that elevate your home’s style while hiding the clutter of real life.

Cabinetry for Every Room

We move beyond basic box cabinets to offer personalized storage solutions designed specifically for the way you and your family live.

Kitchen Cabinets

The kitchen is the hardest-working room in your house. We help you design a layout that maximizes every square inch of storage while reflecting your personal taste.

Smart Storage: Deep pot-and-pan drawers, pull-out spice racks, and hidden trash or recycling centers.
Design Styles: From sleek, modern flat-panel doors to classic shaker styles and ornate traditional woodworking.
The Details: High-quality construction featuring solid wood frames, dovetail joinery, and standard soft-close hinges and glides.

Bathroom Vanities

Transform a cramped or outdated bathroom into a spa-like retreat. We design custom vanities that provide essential under-sink storage, dual-sink configurations for busy mornings, and durable finishes built to withstand high humidity.

Custom Built-Ins & Mudrooms

Mid-Michigan winters require serious gear—and serious storage. We design beautiful, heavy-duty built-ins for:

Mudrooms & Entryways: Custom cubbies, bench seating, and coat storage to keep the cold-weather clutter organized.
Home Offices: Integrated desks, bookshelves, and file storage for a professional work-from-home environment.
Living Rooms: Custom media centers and fireplace flanking built-ins to display your favorite art and hide the electronics.

The O'Leary Design Philosophy: High Design on a Real Budget

Our core philosophy is that exceptional interior design should be accessible. You don’t always need entirely custom, top-tier cabinetry to achieve a luxury look.

We specialize in blending high-end design principles with smart, budget-friendly choices. By mixing beautifully finished semi-custom cabinets with upgraded hardware, customized molding, and strategic layouts, we create a bespoke look without the fully custom price tag. We love mixing the old with the new—integrating fresh cabinetry seamlessly with your home’s existing architecture and your favorite antique or vintage pieces.

Materials, Finishes, and Hardware

The difference between a good cabinet and a great one is in the finish. We guide you through the overwhelming selection process to find the perfect combination:

Painted vs. Stained: Crisp whites, moody blues, earthy greens, or the timeless warmth of natural walnut, oak, and maple.
Durable Finishes: Catalyzed conversion varnishes that resist chipping, fading, and the wear-and-tear of a busy household.
The Jewelry of the Room: A curated selection of cabinet hardware—knobs, pulls, and handles in brushed brass, matte black, polished nickel, and antique bronze—to perfectly complete your design.

Ready to Redesign Your Space?

Don’t let outdated, inefficient storage hold your home back. As Lansing’s trusted interior design partners, we handle the measuring, the layout strategy, and the finish selection so you can focus on enjoying the final result.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. O’Leary’s on Oakland is awesome. Because I am a handyman I come to them for not only advice, but paint matches. They have always had better matches then all of their competitors in town, that I have tried.
